Partnering for Progress in Youth Development

A recent partnership was formed between the Hamilton County Schools, UNUM and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga.  This pilot program will match volunteering UNUM employees with sixth grade students at Orchard Knob and Dalewood Middle Schools.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga's Site-based Program has relationships with many elementary schools in the area.   High school students, college students, and people who work at local businesses and have some flexibility in their work or lunch schedule can enjoy mentoring a child in a secure setting for one hour per week while school is in session.  It's a great program for volunteers who are limited by time!  This is the first time we've extended our program to Orchard KNob and Dalewood Middle Schools.  We are very excited and looking forward to expanding the program in the future.
